Restauants - Steakhouses - Stoney River Steakhouse

We drove over to John's Creek to have dinner at The Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill. We knew the traffic would be bumper and as you can see, it was. But it was worth it. When we got there, the parking lot was packed as well. So we knew they would be busy (it's a popular steakhouse). Not only did we have a great waitress, but she had a trainee with her as well so we had two people. After seating us they brought out our drinks and the bread. You know, different restaurants have different kinds of bread. This restaurant, has little doughnut hole-sized bread. And like a doughnut, the bread here is so gooey. I LOVED it. Yum, yum. But David didn't like it. So, he had them bring him something more crunchy. What they brought him was basically a hardened biscuit. But he was pleased with them.

I ordered the meatloaf (with a second purpose in mind). I knew between the bread, the sides and the salad, that I would not be able to finish it all. And sure enough that's what happened. So right at this typing, it's 5 in the morning and I'm salivating over the thought of the meatloaf sandwich SLATHERED in mayonnaise that I'm going to have in a few minutes. I also had a delicious salad and mashed potatoes.

David had filet. Look at the size of his steak and then find the picture of the receipt and see HOW MUCH they charged us for that small steak!! Neither of us drink so I forgot to take a picture of their wine list. But if you are one that enjoys a nice glass of red or white wine with your dinner, this restaurant has a great wine list.

This is a great restaurant. If you are a guest in my hotel and you would like to visit them, just pull out of the hotel, to the right and at the light, go left. Cross over the interstate and you will go about 15 minutes down the road. They will be at the corner of the road you are on (Pleasant Hill Road - which by then becomes State Bridge Road} and Medlock Bridge Road Or, just put 5800 State Bridge Road, Duluth, Ga 30097 into your GPS and you will arrive there.
