I sure hope that's right. I've read that from others as well.
Indeed, it seems to be more like a bad cold than a lethal thing. He's coughed a bit and lost his apetite. But that's about all.
I've also started coughing. When we first found out he had it, I went and got tested and I was negative. But I doubt that's the case now. But I don't have any other problems except coughing some. I've also had my booster.
I think you were or are looking at the vaccine as a GUARANTEE that you won't get Covid, much like the vaccine for small pox and measles etc. Just realize that this is not the same type of vaccine - no matter what you are told. It's more of a help than a vaccine.
Correct. Different people respond differently to COVID like different people respond differently to the flu. Some people literally die from influenza and some get the flu and just feel yucky for a couple hours then feel fine.
We see different responses to the vaccine as well. Other than a sore arm (like with a Tetanus vaccine), I had no other symptoms. My wife had a fever an felt "flu-ish" for about 4 hours for all of her COVID vaccinations.
I think it is important to get because it is a harm reducer, not a harm eliminator but to get herd immunity to work effectively, we need to drastically reduce its spread and the vaccine helps reduce that risk.
