Attractions - The Georgia Acquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the south and is the main attraction in Atlanta. Be prepared, you'll probably see alot of children. Each time that I have been there, there has been school groups there. But it is a large and wonderful place with whales large enough to EAT YOU!! Not only do they have the exhibits but they have theater type rooms where you can sit and see a presentation. In the one I went to, my chair shook and water began to spew around me to simulate a boat. Be prepared to get a little wet. But a trip to this aquarium will be something you definitely will remember. And, it sits right next door to the Coca Cola Museum. So plan to tour both. And right behind them, is the Civil Rights Museum. So there's plenty to do if you make it a day.

Here are directions if you are driving. If you are a guest in my hotel, my suggestion to you would be to drive down to the closest Marta station which is at Doraville. Park your car there for free and board Marta. Get off at the Peachtree Center Station. You will have a 15 minute walk but it beats fighting and PAYING for parking. Plus you get to see the neighborhood.
